Merry, Merry Christmas!!!

Howdy from the sunny south!!! We are here enjoying the beautiful weather in Louisiana! These are some pictures from Christmas day! It was so nice, Preston slept in until 10:30, then we all had fun just watching him open his gifts! Hope y'all had a wonderful Christmas too!!

Happy 1st Birthday Preston!!!!

I love you Preston, you have made me smile everyday!!! It has been a wonderful 1st year, and it has flown by so fast. I love that each day is so special and I feel so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful son. I feel undeserving, I look forward to each new day with you...I can't wait! Thank you for all you have taught me this past year, you have taught me the meaning of true love. Happy Birthday Baby!

Winter Wonderland!

The cold has finally settles in! We have about 2 inches of snow on the ground! Preston really likes to go outside and walk around in the snow, but he isn't to fond of touching it!
We are so excited about this holiday season! Jim had the Christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving! And much to both of our surprise, Preston has not touched it once! He likes to look at it and coo! He is such a cutie!This week He got both of his front teeth! That makes 4 in all!

Papa Bird comes to North Dakota!

It was so much fun to have my dad here for a few days! He had a business meeting a few hours from here, then we had him all to ourselves! Preston wasn't to sure about the beard at first, but by the end he was lov'en it!

Jim the carpenter: Part 2

We are so excited to be finished with our latest project! As y'all know, Jim got this T.V. for his birthday in October. He decided that he wanted his new T.V mounted on the wall, soooo he built this HUGE frame! It took him about 2 1/2 weeks to build it in his spare time(not that he has much these days!) It weighs about 100 lbs and is 54 inches wide, 41 inches tall and 9 inches deep.Anyways, he did a fabulous job, and we love it! Stay tuned for Jim's upcoming projects!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope that all y'all had a great holiday! It was my first year to host Thanksgiving at my house! We had Jim's family here....his parents, his sister and her husband, and his younger brother Dustin. We had such a good time! And I think that the food was pretty good too! Dennis and Paula brought Preston's Birthday and Christmas presents so we all had fun watching him open them! Thanks again guys!! Preston LOVES all the fun gifts!

Jim the carpenter!

I am SO excited to finally get my

new shelves on the wall! I saw these in the Pottery Barn catalog a few months ago, and when I showed them to Jim, he gave me his usual comment, "I could make those......Easy!!" So.... I took him up on his offer! He did such a fantastic job! I'm still not sure what else I'm going to put on them, but that just gives me something to shop for!

Poor little guy had a rough week.
We found out the hard way that
he is severely allergic to latex! After
a doctors visit, and some medication,
the rash is finally starting to go away!

Curly Hair!

Can you tell how much he LOVES to get his picture taken?? He hears the camera turn on and he automatically smiles!I was going to try to wait until Christmas to cut Preston's hair, but it has gotten so long and out of control!! It's so cute when he first gets out of the bath tub, because it's sooo curly! He's such a ham~

New church calling!!

Okay, so I finally got a new calling!! I am going to be the new Gospel Doctrine teacher!!I am so excited.....and a little intimidated! I know that I'll learn so much, and for that I am excited! The pictures below are from our walk yesterday! There is a walking path that goes all through town with parks all along the way. For a town so small they have a ton of parks, I think I've counted at least 16!! So there is always a new one to explore. Hope all y'all have a great Halloween!

I've joined MOPS!

No, MOPS is not a cleaning club! Although if it was, I would probably still join!!!MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are sooo important in a mother-child relationship. We mothers of young children get together twice a month here in Beulah. So far I love it!!!! Every time there is a lesson(usually something to do with running a household, or raising children) a craft, then refreshments!! Oh! And did I mention that they provide childcare????? So we can actually get something out of the lesson! I have made so many great friends, anyone with young children should check it out in their area!

No!!! It's not your imagination playing tricks on you! I have been trying out a few different templates, to see which one feels like "me"! I liked my old template, but it was frustrating to work with....so I am experimenting! Let me know which one y'all like the best!

For Jim's Birthday he got a 42" LCD flatscreen TV! He has wanted one for a long time(actucally he's wanted a much bigger one, but oh well!) Hope you had a great Birthday Jim!
